Hotel Grande Bretagne, Athens

The Hotel Grande Bretagne is an absolutely stunning destination. Upon entering, I was transported back in time, captivated by its charming old-world elegance paired with state-of-the-art facilities. This five-star hotel truly stands out, feeling almost like a museum with its meticulous attention to detail. I couldn’t stop taking pictures—it’s simply breathtaking.

Located in the heart of Athens, the Grande Bretagne is within walking distance of shopping areas, museums, bars, restaurants, and business districts, making it exceptionally convenient for exploring the city.

Here are my five must-see spots in Athens:

1. Lycabettus Hill: Offers an amazing view over the city.

2. Pnyx Hill: A perfect spot for watching the sunset.

3. Monastiraki Square/Plaka: Ideal for flea market finds and shopping.

4. National Gardens: A beautiful park area.

5. Acropolis: The ancient citadel is a must-visit.

The highlight of my stay at the Grande Bretagne was the Roof Garden Restaurant. The views of the Acropolis, Syntagma Square, the Parliament, Lycabettus Hill, and the original Olympic Stadium are breathtaking.

The hotel features 320 rooms and 58 suites, with the suites offering additional benefits such as personalized butler service. The service throughout my stay was excellent.

This was my first visit to Athens, but it certainly won’t be my last. I had a wonderful time and look forward to exploring more of this vibrant city.
