Personal data (sometimes referred to as PII — personally identifiable information) is information that to some extent can be attributed to you. Personal data submitted by you via our website may be your name, phone number, newsletter interests, subject area, or email. If it is mandatory to provide data in order to proceed, this will be marked with an * (asterisk). 

We only request information relevant to your enquiry.

Purpose

We use personal data to deal with your request, make our services better and to ensure quality in our products and services as well as in our contact with you.

Changes

Our privacy policy may be changed from time to time. Any changes to this privacy policy will be stated on this page and if any significant changes are made, we will draw your attention to them in a more conspicuous manner (for some services, we will inform you about changes by email).

Danish Standards uses the personal data collected for the following purposes:

  • Administrative purposes, including login to self-service portals, invoicing, and service messages

  • Targeted communications, e.g., through newsletters, invitations to technical seminars, digital advertising on social media (primarily, but not limited to Facebook and LinkedIn)

  • Market surveys

  • Personal contact

  • Marketing, in general

Retention period

We store personal data for as long as it is relevant in order for us to deal with your request or where filing is required by law. After this, your personal data will be deleted.

Disclosure

Personal data will not be disclosed to any third party unless you give separate consent to this. Therefore, Danish Standards will always appear as the sender of the e-mails you receive.
