10 Tipps for Backpacker

1. Clothesline & washing powder can help, as well as locks for lockers to lock valuables away. Clothes line: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08GHKBFR2/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=travel2004-21&creative=6742&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B08GHKBFR2&linkId=08b0c4524504d6bcb2a5b349baaa6d9b

2. Think of bags in which you can stow your liquids etc. individually & preferably far away from your clothes, otherwise things will just be "washed" + think of a bag for dirty laundry.

3. Mobile phone: Telstra and Optus are recommended, prepaid providers.

4. Don't let yourself be ripped off! The coastal shops, in particular, are teeming with great "offers". Compare prices on the Internet or do tours on your own, such as the Blue-Mountains. Many tours don't require a guide.

5. Book popular tours (Whitsundays, Fraser Island) 1-2 weeks in advance so you don't have to wait in one place.

6. Go grocery shopping in the evening because many products such as fruit and meat are being reduced and cook with more people to save money.

7. Opened a bank account (ANZ, Commonwealth) before arrival.

8. Woolworth and Aldi are the cheapest supermarkets ('cool' is still possible) in Australia.

9. Ask locals about cool places, party venues & beaches.

10. Take flyers from backpacker shops with you -> BBQ, pizza, drinks are often free in the evening.
