Niko Seaside Resort in Crete
An unforgettable holiday. After being in Sissi a couple of days we drove further south to the town of Agios Nikolaos and stayed in the five-star Niko Seaside Resort. It is an adult-only resort by the sea. When I entered the hotel I was already amazed by the beautiful and modern interior. However, once I saw the view from our suite and the pool area I got speechless. Such a paradise. The hotel has two pools, a main restaurant, a sushi bar, a spa as well as a small beach area. Almost every room has a jacuzzi and beautiful sea view. I really enjoyed the location. You have a stunning view over the ocean but you are also just five minutes away from Voulismeni lake and the town of Agios Nikolaos.
My highlights were the boat trip and creating our own perfume. The hotel organised our transport to the boat and provided us with towels, snacks and drinks. We sailed on a typical greek wooden boat. The boat is large (10-20 people) and costs 100€ per hour. We passed the Spinalonga island and coast of Elounda to get to our first of our two snorkeling spot. Chrystal clear waters. So beautiful. We had the best time and really enjoyed being on the sea.
The day after we were so lucky to create our own perfume. It was so interesting to understand how perfumes are created and how they actually mirror your personality. We experienced the process in the lobby of the hotel. However, I would absolutely recommend you to go to the actual shop of Bioaroma which is just 2km from the hotel. Because we were so in love with the products we wanted to see the production side as well as the shop itself.
