MarBella Collection in Corfu
Last year, I visited Corfu for the first time and fell in love with the island. It's one of the largest and greenest islands, boasting stunning natural beauty.
This year, I stayed at the MarBella Collection Hotels, which currently has three properties in Corfu and is set to open a fourth in 2024. Each hotel has its own unique charm and caters to different types of guests.
I spent the first few days at MarBella Nido, the adults-only hotel. This small and tranquil property was recently renovated. Our suite had a Jacuzzi and a lovely sea view, as did the main pool and gym. The beach, though rocky, is accessible by crossing the street. This path also leads to a second beach and a beach restaurant that connects both hotels.
Next, I moved to MarBella Corfu, a family-friendly hotel right next to MarBella Nido. It features an aqua park, tennis court, gym, pool bar, and various specialty restaurants, including Italian, Greek, Asian, and Mediterranean options. My favorite was the Italian restaurant. Although it's a fantastic choice for families with young children and offers a range of activities, it's quite noisy and not my ideal holiday spot due to its bustling atmosphere.
My absolute favorite was MarBella Elix. You can reach this hotel either by taxi from the mainland or by boat from Corfu Island. We opted for the catamaran, enjoying a beautiful hour-long trip with views of the lush green island. MarBella Elix is located right by the beach, nestled in verdant surroundings. It’s incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The hotel offers a small spa, gym, tennis court, pool, beach bar, pool bar, and a yoga deck in the greenery. The sea views from almost everywhere in the hotel, including all the rooms, are breathtaking. It’s a dream destination, perfect for couples and families with older children. I will definitely be back.
